Jobs Fraser Coast AGM
Scott Rowe was re-elected chair of the volunteer board with Mark Lourigan elected new deputy chair and Sandra Holebrook the treasurer.
The state-funded organisation held its annual general meeting on November 17 followed by a strategic planning day facilitated by a workforce development specialist from Jobs Queensland.
Jobs Fraser Coast has successfully received approval from the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training to extend its contract from the 31st of November 2020 to March 31st, 2021. This funding extension has allowed the committee to focus on adding further value to the Fraser Coast Community. As a region in Queensland with the highest unemployment rate, (Wide Bay Burnett Overall Unemployment 11.9%, Wide Bay Burnett Youth Unemployment 27.9%) Jobs Fraser Coast will be looking to strategically support the community in reducing these figures.
